Hi, I’m Ed.
I’ve been a copywriter for a decade or two and know my way around a brief, a concept
— and a keyboard.
I started out in general advertising but at this point I’ve kind of done it all. Print, TV, DM, brochures, radio, emails, websites, PPT, and more. (“And more” a favorite standby of any copywriter.) A few categories I’ve worked in are: beauty, cars, financial, hospitality, non-profit, package goods, pharma, and telecom.
Along with strong writing you get a lot of strategic thinking. Of course, I have solid execution, presentation, client management, and supervisory skills. I believe that offering input on a strategy is pretty interesting. Look over my resume; you’ll see I’m also a licensed psychotherapist with an Ivy League Masters in Social Work. That means I have a great understanding of people and what motivates them. In other lives I’ve worked as a stylist, mover, personal chef, factory worker, and slinger of hash. Have I wrestled a live cougar to the ground? Um, yes. I’m happy to tell you more. All you have to do is ask.
